Studying at Allahabad University’s Centre of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences? Your exam schedule is ready, and it is an easy one to remember. All papers fall on 1, 3, 5 and 7 December, with an afternoon sitting from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
This one is only for your Centre, so please do not share it with friends in other departments as their schedule. Find other date sheets on our Time Table page.

If You Are in Semester 1
| Date | Paper | Code |
|---|---|---|
| Tue, 1 Dec | Research Methods | CSC 503 |
| Thu, 3 Dec | Principles of Neuroscience | CSC 502 |
| Sat, 5 Dec | Introduction to Programming | CSC 504 |
| Mon, 7 Dec | Foundations of Cognitive Science | CSC 514 |
All four are core papers. If programming is new to you, practise on a laptop for a few days, and use your notes alongside. Since you get a full day before each paper, you can use that time for one last round of revision.
If You Are in Semester 3
| Date | Paper | Code | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tue, 1 Dec | Brain Imaging | CSC 571 | Elective |
| Tue, 1 Dec | Neuroscience of Memory | CSC 579 | Elective |
| Thu, 3 Dec | Culture and Cognition | CSC 509 | Core |
| Sat, 5 Dec | Cognitive Disorders | CSC 563 | Elective |
| Sat, 5 Dec | Decision Making | CSC 565 | Elective |
Watch for an Elective Clash
Look closely at 1 and 5 December. Two electives share each of these dates, and the date sheet gives one common time. If your two chosen electives are both on one day, please talk to your Centre’s office as soon as you can. There may be a simple answer, but you do not want to find out on the exam day.
Writing a Back Paper?
The only back paper listed is for Semester 1: CSC 514, Foundations of Cognitive Science, on Monday, 7 December. It is the same date as the regular paper, so you may well be sitting with first-year juniors. Do check whether your centre or room is different.
Making the Most of the Gaps
You get a day off between papers, plus Sunday, 6 December. Here are a few ideas:
- Use the free day for the next paper only, so that you do not jump around.
- Practise writing full answers by hand, as a three-hour paper can tire you out.
- Go through previous papers from your seniors or your department, if available.
These are just our suggestions and are not from the university.
What You Still Need to Find Out
The date sheet does not mention these points, so please ask your Centre’s office:
- Your exam hall or venue
- When and how you will get your admit card
- Any exam form or fee dates
How to Save the Date Sheet
The PDF is a one-page scan, so search will not work. Open it, and take a screenshot of your semester’s table. It is signed by the Joint Registrar (Exam), and dated 30 October 2026, so it is worth checking the main website for any later change.
