Latest Answer Key Status

BSF shared the answer key details in Notice-3 on 3 November 2026. The portal opened on 4 November. Right now, the key is provisional. That means BSF may still change some answers after it checks the objections.

A provisional key is a first version. The final key comes later and is the one BSF uses to make the result.

How to Download the Answer Key

  1. Click the answer key login link in the Important Links table below.
  2. Enter the user ID and password you made when you applied.
  3. Open your response sheet. It shows each question, your answer and BSF’s answer.
  4. On a computer, press Ctrl + P and choose “Save as PDF”. On a phone, take screenshots of every page.

Save a copy now. The portal will close after 6 November.

How to Compare Your Answers

Keep a notebook ready and make three columns: Right, Wrong and Not Attempted. Go through all 100 questions and put each one in a column. Count each column at the end.

If you think BSF’s answer is wrong for any question, write that question number separately. Find a reliable book or official source that shows the correct answer.

How to Calculate Expected Marks

The CBT had 100 questions for 200 marks:

Subject Questions Marks
Physics 40 80
Mathematics 20 40
Chemistry 20 40
English and GK 20 40

You get 2 marks for a right answer and lose 0.25 marks for a wrong one. Blank answers give zero.

Your Score = (Right × 2) − (Wrong × 0.25)

Example: 65 right and 20 wrong gives 130 − 5 = 125 marks.

Reports say the minimum pass marks are 76 for UR, OBC and EWS candidates and 66 for SC and ST candidates. Treat these as a guide until you check the official advertisement.

Objection Process

If you find a wrong answer, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the same portal before the deadline.
  2. Pick the question you want to challenge.
  3. Write the answer you think is correct.
  4. Upload proof, such as a page from a standard textbook. BSF will not accept an objection without proof.
  5. Submit and take a screenshot of the confirmation.

Keep in mind:

  • BSF only accepts objections through the portal. Email, post or social media messages will not count.
  • If you miss the window, you may not get another chance to ask for re-checking.
  • The objection fee, if any, is Not Announced in the details available. Check the portal before you submit.

What Happens Next?

After 6 November, BSF will check the objections and release the final answer key with the CBT result. The result date is Not Announced.

The next steps depend on your post:

  • Radio Operator: document check, a 50-mark dictation test, a paragraph reading test (pass only) and a medical test. Your final marks add your CBT and dictation scores.
  • Radio Mechanic: document check and a medical test. Your CBT marks alone decide your rank.

If you are applying for Radio Operator, start practising dictation now. Listen to news in English and write it down at speed. This will help you once the dates come out.
