Does Your Diploma Fit?
Please do not assume that every mechanical diploma works for every job. For example, the Mechanic post asks for a three-year diploma in Automobile or Mechanical (Automobile) Engineering. A heavy vehicle driving licence gives preference there.
Our tip is to find your job’s row in the advertisement and compare it with your certificate word by word. You must hold the qualification by 25 November.
Important Dates
The form closes on 25 November 2026, and this is also the last day to pay. You then have until 2 December 2026 for the bank to adjust your fee and to correct allowed details. We suggest not waiting for the last week.
How to Apply Step by Step
- Keep your PET 2025 registration number ready.
- Open upsssc.gov.in and go to the Live Advertisement Segment.
- Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile or email.
- Your details and photo appear on their own, so check them.
- Tick every job you want. Jobs you do not select will not be counted.
- Pay Rs. 25, then download and read your form before final submission.
Please also print your form, as you may be asked for it at document checking.
Selection and Merit: What Happens Next?
Your PET 2025 normalised score decides who gets shortlisted. If your score was zero or negative, you will not be shortlisted. Those shortlisted pay a separate fee and write the main exam. Its date is not announced yet, so we suggest starting your subject revision now.
How Old Can You Be?
The rows we checked generally allow up to 40 years, starting at 18, or 21 for Technical Assistant. Reserved categories get relaxation. Please confirm the rule for your job.
Fee Pending? Do Not Ignore It
Please check your fee status on the Applicant’s Dashboard. Your form cannot be printed until the bank adjusts your payment. If it shows Pending, use the Update Your Transaction ID option in the Applicant Segment. The last day for this is 2 December 2026, and no complaint is accepted after that.
Claiming a Category?
Keep your certificate ready, because you may have to show it later. EWS students need a certificate issued between 1 April and 25 November 2026. Girls from Uttar Pradesh should note that the caste certificate must come from the father’s side.
