Wrote UPSSSC PET 2026? You can now match your answers, because the provisional key for every shift is out. There are six PDFs, and you need only the one for your date and shift.
Please download yours this week. The commission’s notice of 2 November 2026 says these files will be on its website only until 8 November 2026. You will find similar updates on our Answer Key page.

What Has Changed?
Until 2 November, you could only guess how you did. Now the commission has put up its own answers, so you can see where you stand. The exam was held in 60 districts of Uttar Pradesh, with two shifts each day, which is why there are so many files.
What Does Provisional Mean?
Think of it as a first version. The commission is sharing its answers, but they are not final yet, and some could change later. So if your count looks a little low or high, please do not treat it as your final result.
What Is a Master Set?
Your notice mentions a “master set”. In simple words, this is the base copy of the question paper. The questions in your booklet may appear in a different order, so question 10 in your booklet may not be question 10 in the PDF. The notice does not explain this itself, and this is our own guidance. The safe way is to search for the question’s wording, not its number.
How to Get Your PDF
- Check your admit card for your exam date and shift.
- Pick the matching row in the links table below.
- Open the file and download it.
- Keep one copy on your phone and one in your email.
If a link does not work, try the home page at upsssc.gov.in. The same files are listed there under Important Announcement.
How to Read the Key
We opened the file for 25 October, Shift 1. It has 100 questions, and every question appears in both Hindi and English with its answer directly below. So for the question on who ruled Kannauj between 606 and 647 CE, you will see Harshavardhana. There are no separate option letters to decode, which makes checking easier.
Please take it one section at a time. Put a tick against each match, then count your ticks at the end.
Can You Work Out Your Marks?
Only roughly, for now. The notice does not explain the marking, and we could not confirm it from the commission’s pages that opened for us. Your advertisement is the right place to check whether wrong answers lose marks. Until then, your tick count is a useful guide, nothing more.
Think an Answer Is Wrong?
The notice does not offer any way to object yet. Here is what you can do in the meantime:
- Note the date, shift and full question.
- Find proof in a good textbook, not a social media post.
- Check upsssc.gov.in for a new notice.
Please do not pay anyone who says they can get an answer changed.
What Comes Next?
The commission has not given a date for the result or a final key. Please keep your admit card and registration number safe, because you may need them later. You can also start looking at the main exam you are aiming for, since PET is the first step towards some UPSSSC posts.

Frequently Asked Questions
My friend’s answers look different. Why?
Your friend may have written another shift. Each shift has its own paper and its own file.
Do I need a password to open the file?
No. The notice links straight to PDFs on Google Drive.
What if I miss 8 November?
The notice says the files stay online until then, so a copy saved now is your safest option.
Will this PDF show my marks?
No. It shows only questions and answers, so you have to do the matching yourself.
Has the result date been given?
No, the notice does not mention a result date.
