Wrote APSC Soil Conservation Ranger? Your Key Is Out, and You Have Two Deadlines

Wrote the Assam Soil Conservation Ranger exam on 1 or 2 November? Good news: you do not have to wait. Keys for every paper are already on the APSC website.

Be careful with one thing. Your General Knowledge paper and your subject paper have different objection dates, one day apart. Keep our Answer Key page handy for other exams too.

Which Papers Are Covered?

The commission has released keys for five papers:

  • General Knowledge, held on 1 November
  • Agriculture, held on 2 November
  • Agriculture Engineering, held on 2 November
  • Horticulture, held on 2 November
  • Botany, held on 2 November

How to Download Your Key

  1. Go to the Answer Keys page on apsc.nic.in. The link is in the table below.
  2. Find the Soil Conservation Ranger entries near the top.
  3. Tap the paper you wrote, and save the PDF on your phone.

You will probably need two files: General Knowledge and your own subject.

Find Your Series First

Everything depends on this. The same question sits at a different number in each booklet series, so a wrong page will give you a wrong count. Look at your booklet or carbon copy if you kept one, and then scroll to that series in the PDF.

A Simple Way to Count

The General Knowledge paper had 100 questions, for 100 marks, in 2 hours. Here is what we suggest:

  1. Write your answers in a column, if you remember them.
  2. Tick every answer that matches the key.
  3. Mark any doubtful question separately, because that is where an objection may come from.

The key does not mention negative marking. Please read your advertisement before you turn this count into a score.

Think an Answer Is Wrong?

You can challenge it, but APSC is strict about proof. Your claim must come with an authentic source, and a reference to any website will not be accepted. Vague documents are also rejected.

For this reason, a clearly named book or a government publication is a safer choice. This is our advice and not an APSC list, so choose carefully. Page numbers and an edition can help the reviewers find your source quickly.

Also, you must use the link on the official website. Email and paper petitions will not be considered.

Do Not Mix Up the Dates

Think of it this way: General Knowledge first, your subject the next day. If you doubt answers in both papers, it is best to finish both claims by 6 November, so that you only need to remember one date.

What Comes Next?

APSC has not shared a date for the final key or the result. For now, finish your count, send any claim you can support, and keep checking the commission’s website.

Your Botany key closes on 7 November 2026, while your General Knowledge key closes on 6 November 2026.

Is every series in the same PDF?

Yes. Each entry on the APSC page says Series A, B, C, D, and the GK file has four pages.

What if I have no strong source for my claim?

APSC says it will not entertain a claim without authentic sources, so it may not be worth sending.

Has APSC announced the result date?

No. These notifications do not give a date for the result.
