Applied for the Indian Coast Guard CGEPT? Please mark 17 and 18 November 2026 in your calendar. A notice dated 2 November says the computer based test for Batches 01/2027 and 02/2027 will happen on those days.
That does not leave you much time. Here is what we know, and how you can use these weeks well. See more schedules on our Time Table page.
Quick Details
| What | Details |
|---|---|
| Exam | Coast Guard Enrolled Persons Test (CGEPT) |
| Batches | 01/2027 and 02/2027 |
| Type | Computer based |
| Dates | 17 and 18 November 2026 |
| Admit Card | Not given in this notice |
Who Announced It?
The Staff Selection Commission published the date in its important notice, along with two other exams. So please check ssc.gov.in as well as the Coast Guard website for updates. Do not rely on just one of them.
Which Day Is Mine?
The notice gives the two days together. It does not say who writes on which day. Your admit card should tell you your date, time and centre, so please wait for that before making firm travel plans.
Your Two-Week Plan
Here is a simple plan from us. It is general advice, not an official schedule.
| When | What to Do |
|---|---|
| Now | Find your login details and application number |
| This week | Revise your weakest subject first |
| Next week | Take timed mock tests on a computer |
| Exam week | Revise short notes and sleep well |
Since this is a computer based test, please practise on a screen and not only on paper. It helps you get used to reading questions and managing time.
What Should You Keep Ready?
- Your application number and password
- A valid photo ID
- Recent photographs, in case they are asked for
- A printed copy of your application, if you have one
Please check your admit card instructions when it comes, because they will have the final list.
Beware of Fake Messages
Exam time often brings fake links. Some ask for payment to get an admit card, or promise a seat in exchange for money. Please use only the official websites. Nobody can buy you a seat in the Coast Guard.
Other Exams in the Same Notice
Two other exams appear in this notice, in case a friend needs them:
- Departmental Typing and Stenographer Skill Test: 20 and 21 November
- Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and CAPFs, Paper II: 28 November
What Happens After CGEPT?
This notice covers only the exam dates. It says nothing about the result or later stages. So please focus on the exam for now, and check the Coast Guard recruitment page for what comes next.
Also Worth Doing This Week
Please log in to your account once, even though the admit card is not out. If your password does not work, you will have time to reset it. Also check that your name and photograph look right in your application. Small problems are much easier to sort out early than on the night before the exam.
