The notification is dated 2 November 2026, and the online window opened at 11:00 AM on 3 November. AYUSH is the government’s name for traditional medical systems such as Ayurveda and Homeopathy.

Doctors and MPWs can be posted anywhere in Birbhum district. The Data Entry Operator works at the AYUSH district office.
Who Can Apply?
You should meet these basic rules first:
- You are a permanent resident of West Bengal.
- You know the local languages.
- You met all conditions by 3 November 2026.
If your degree result or certificate came after that date, it may not count.
Educational Qualification
MPW: you need a degree in any subject, plus a one-year computer diploma from a government-registered institute. It should cover MS Office, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Data Entry Operator: you need a computer-related degree, or any degree with a one-year computer course. You also need one year of work experience after your degree.
AYUSH Doctor: two posts ask for BHMS, and one post asks for BAMS. One BHMS post is named “Ayurvidya” in the notice, which is confusing. Please ask the office if you plan to apply for it.
Age Limit and Application Fee
Your age is counted on 1 January 2026.

The fee is Rs. 100 for General candidates, and Rs. 50 for reserved candidates. You will not get it back, and you should pay it only once.
Selection Process and Merit Points
There is a clear marks system for each job. This helps you work out your own chances.
For MPW (100 marks):
- 75 marks for your graduation percentage
- 15 marks for a computer practical test
- 10 marks for experience, with 2 marks per completed year
For example, 60 percent in graduation should work out to about 45 out of 75. This example is ours, based on the proportionate marking in the notice. You need at least 50 percent in the computer test too.
For Data Entry Operator: the computer test is worth 50 marks, and an interview is worth 10. Your studies and experience make up the other 40. So practise typing and Excel well.
For AYUSH Doctors: your degree carries 85 marks, and experience carries 15.
How to Apply
- Open wbhealth.gov.in, and find “On-line Recruitment”.
- Register for your post, and save your application ID.
- Pay the fee by net banking or card.
- After payment, use the link to finish the form.
- Upload a clear photo and signature.
- Download the printed form from hr.wbhealth.gov.in, and keep it for document checks.
You do not need to post anything. Details in your form must match your original papers, or your application can be cancelled.
Mistakes to Avoid in This Form
Online health department forms have a few steps, so small errors can cost you the chance. Keep these in mind:
- Do not pay the fee twice, even if the page feels slow. The notice warns about this.
- Check that your photo and signature are uploaded. A form without them can be cancelled.
- Save your registration number. The office says it will not help you find it later.
- Use the exact marks from your marksheet. Differences can lead to cancellation.
- Keep your caste or EWS certificate ready. It must be from West Bengal, and dated on or before 3 November 2026.
